A pile of beautiful tumbled aquamarine crystals

I can’t say enough amazing things about Aquamarine because it’s just such a MAGNIFICENT crystal!  It’s been a favorite of mine for many years~ not only is it absolutely stunning, it also has many diverse and helpful qualities that I love~ so I just had to share some aspects and tips with everyone!

This crystal is a bestower of light and hope. It bathes the user in a feeling of freshness that flushes away stuck and stagnant energy so that your true nature and potential can flow freely.  And if you’ve been feeling anything like me lately, any assistance with clearing stagnation is a blessing.

Aquamarine works the heart and throat chakras. Try holding it during meditation to improve any type of communication with the spirit realm and to encourage emotional soothing and healing. It can help you open more to your dreams and intuitive potential~ so place near your head at night~ or you can wear it too if that doesn’t bother you!

A crystal of calmness and tranquility, Aquamarine will ease stress and encourage our sense of compassion and peace on all levels. It’s beautiful water element energy purifies us from the inside out and clears away negative thoughts, feelings and self doubt~ always a good thing

It is also a crystal for balancing the logical mind and strengthening our sense of confidence. It brings spiritual wisdom and awareness that assists on our personal journeys. By clearing doubts and pessimism, Aquamarine assists us with connecting to our Higher selves/True nature. I love to wear it when I’m doing journey work or guided types of meditation.

Aquamarine can help empower/improve our relationships too~it does this by strengthening us from the inside and thus strengthening our commitment and trust. It also eases and supports successful communication which is so essential for any lasting relationships.

Aquamarine also attracts good fortune and luck in general and allows for prosperity to flow more freely to us. It also allows us to better manifest our goals and desires.

This crystal has been used for centuries to ensure safe travel, particularly in situations involving water. It is known as the Mermaid’s crystal because of its association with water.  If you’re a total lover of the ocean like me, do yourself a favor and work with Aquamarine!

A trio of burning white candles with swirling smoke

This method is entirely my own, as far as I know, and thoroughly modern, but is based on older methods and concepts.

So first I walk through the house, room by room, burning herbs associated with cleansing. In general I recommend using a combination of vervain, rosemary, and juniper when possible, but any one of those alone is also good. Using smoke to purify and bless spaces and the home is an old Celtic practice, particularly using juniper. F. Marian McNeill in the Silver Bough says "Juniper, or the mountain yew, was burned by the Highlanders both in the house and in the byre as a purification rite on New Year's morning" and the Gadelica itself says "Iubhar beinne [juniper] and caorran, mountain ash or rowan, were burnt on the doorstep of the byre on the first day of the quarter, on Beltaine Day and Hallowmas." Likewise rosemary also has a strong historical association with cleansing, as according to Grieve's Modern Herbal it was burned to cleanse a sick room and was also believed to remove any evil influences in general (http://botanical.com/botanical/mgmh/r/rosema17.html). Vervain in both the Celtic and Roman world was considered a sacred herb and used as an offering to the Gods (http://botanical.com/botanical/mgmh/v/vervai08.html)

Next I light a white candle and walk through each room again praying for blessing on the home. This is based on traditions associated with certain holidays, like Samhain, where fire—usually in the form of a burning torch—would be taken around the boundary of a property to bless it and protect it.

In the end I stand in the middle of what would be the living room, holding the candle, and recite a prayer modified from the Carmina Gadelica:

"Gods bless this house,

From site to stay,

From beam to wall,

From end to end,

From ridge to basement,

From balk to roof,

From foundation to summit,

Foundation and summit."

—written by Morgan Daimler

The above prayer is the modifed version from my book, it is changed very little from the original which can be found in the first volume of the Carmina Gadelica by Carmichael here:  http://www.sacred-texts.com/neu/celt/cg1/cg1048.htm

House Blessing 45

God bless the house,

From site to stay,

From beam to wall,

From end to end,

From ridge to basement,

From balk to roof-tree,

From found to summit,

Found and summit.

A blood-red full lunar eclipse

March is jam packed with potential and potency for those who dare to step into their innate, internal, natural state, which is one of MAGICK.

There is a full lunar eclipse, also known as a Blood Moon on 3/14/25 (check out my Blood Moon Ritual Meditation class!) And there will also be a partial solar eclipse on 3/29/25 as well.

The Blood Moon eclipse will give us a chance to push through what normally is difficult or seemingly impossible for us. With the energy it provides, we can create space for our own transformation and step into a new experience.

Eclipses are intense but not in a negative sense. I prefer to use them to help me with deep and meaningful work on an internal level rather than performing the usual types of spells for practical assistance in life.

They are an especially magical time for guided meditations and journeys where we can delve deeper and uncover incredible insights into ourselves and our lives.

I like to cleanse myself and my home more frequently during Eclipse season because the energy can get kicked up more than usual. I’ve been really loving on Mugwort lately for my cleansing rituals but you can also use Sage, Rosemary, Hyssop, Cedar, and Palo Santo. If you’re into resins, Frankincense and Dragons Blood would work really well right now too!🔥

Remember to call on your spiritual allies a little extra during this month for that added protection. Ask your ancestors, angels, and spirit animals/guides to walk with you during your day and especially when you are performing any rituals, spellwork, divination, or meditations. Think of it like “Magical Insurance”. You won’t regret it!
